The Dutch Club Wellington is a social club by and for all people who are interested in the Dutch Language, Heritage and Culture.

The aim of our club is to keep Dutch traditions alive, maintain cultural ties between the Netherlands and New Zealand and foster feelings of friendship and good understanding between persons of Dutch descend and all other nationalities. To that effect we organise meetings and social events to celebrate Dutch National festivals and propagate Dutch traditions and “gezelligheid”.

Membership to the club is open to all nationalities for people who are genuinely interested in Dutch culture and/or the Dutch language. We welcome members, their friends and guest at our clubhouse in Avalon at any of the regular or yearly events to come and have a chat, a snack and a drink and share some stories.

The club is governed by a committee serving the club members by making decision on their behalf and managing the daily activities of the club.
