Summer Event
On Thursday 27 February 2025 we are organising a our summer lunch at the Pavilion in Williams Park, Days bay.
For this event we will be booking a long table for the whole group; outdoors if the weather is fine, indoors if not.
Lunch will start around 12:30 but we will be waiting for the 12:25pm ferry to arrive.
For our members, the food at this lunch will be sponsored by the club. Please note the following conditions for participation:
- You need to register before 22 February 2025. To find out how, see below.
- You will have to make your own way to Days Bay. Easiest will be to come by car; there’s parking on site (not reserved).
- There are several public transport options, mentioned below.
- If you have trouble getting to the venue or if you want to car-pool (from Avalon House) please let Pierre know.
- The club will pay for the members’ food, but beverages are at your own cost.
- Members include children under the age of 16 who live at the same address, and a spouse/partner who lives at the same address
- You are free to bring a guest (non-member) but that person will have to pay for his/her own lunch.

Public transport options:
- You can take the East by West ferry at 12 noon, to arrive at 12:25pm across the road from the park. The return sailing is at 3:20pm.
- There are two options if you take the 83 bus to Eastbourne. The 11:05am or 11:35am bus from Courtney Place takes 55 minutes.
- From Lower Hutt you can get on the 83 at Queensgate at 11:46am or 12:16pm.
- Travel before 3pm is free for Supergold card holders.
